A friend of mine makes this cake for different occasions. It's sinfully delicious. Also low in fat and has no cholesterol.
This recipe is from the Pillsbury website. The site calculates the calories at 410 for this dinner with the horseradish sauce. (I added the sauce in the instructions but not in the recipe as i don't care for horseradish.)
I was craving chips and dip and this is the dip i ended up with. Started out to just get a dip to dunk chips in, then saw the spinach dip recipe on the back of the ranch envelop and thought the extra veg would be good for me. I did leave out the water chestnuts from the orginal recipe.
My mom remembers having these on the farm when she was a child made with beef, turkey, or chicken broth. She says no words can describe the taste. and at Christmas time her mom would make the noodles and thicken the broth for them to put over mashed potatoes. This is easy to make.
Something simple to put on multi grain waffles, low fat ice cream, or anything else your heart desires.
