Easy to make
Recipe from Daily Garnish (Emily Malone) calls for green French kentils. I couldn't find them and had to subsitute red lentils instead. I have added cooking directions for both the green and red lentils
Easy to make and very filling. I serve it over wild or brown rice.
Favorite green bean casserole made with broccoli and cauliflower instead
Great to have warm on a cold day, or cold on a hot day.
Made with buffalo meat and salad dressing, this is left in the refrigerator for people to eat cold on hot days.
Followed a recipe for lentil,rice and tomato stew, substituted the amaranth for the rice
Grandma's recipe for creamed cabbage with hot dogs added to make a full course meal

Brought over from Sweden by my husband's grandmother. It is eaten for breakfast.

Tried Three Bean Chili without the mushrooms. I used garlic and onion powder instead of real onions and garlic
This serves a lot more than the 6-8 listed in the book!

My family hates red peppers and onions..I don't like cashews. So I deleted those toppings from the Engine 2 pizza recipe.

My mother-in-law's recipe calls for peanut butter, but my daughter loves chocolate..so we used almond-chocolate butter, nutella instead. It calls for Dream Whip made instead of cool whip, but I couldn't find the calorie count for that. Sorry but lo-cal substitutes I have tried all create soup instead of pie.
