This is the recipe from Jaden Hair of www.steamykitchen.com . AMAZING!! My picky family inhaled it. Nutritional information include 1/2 cup of white rice per serving.

I've made this with both beef and chicken and various veggies - never have been disappointed.

Heather's Beef, Barley & Vegetable Stew for the CrockPot

It's a rare, rainy and cold day here in Arizona. Perfect for a bowl of rich beef stew. Served with a bit of crusty bread it's a comforting and warm meal.

Each serving is approximately 1 1/2 cup.

Garlic & Onion Quinoa

Quinoa is a wonderfully nutritious grain. This recipe makes eough for a small side dish. So yummy!

**Make sure you rinse the quinoa very well in a small mesh collander otherwise it will be very bitter.*

Grilled Pork with Hoisin Sauce

This is one of my family's favorite dishes. My teenagers will actually ask me to make it!

Veggie & Lentil Soup

Another version of the "I need to eat more veggies" soup recipe I wrote. The fire roasted tomatoes make a huge difference and the lentils give it that bit of protein. Subsituting vegetable broth would make this a great vegetarian meal, I didn't have any in the house when I mixed up this last batch.

I love these soups...I have a version of this every day for lunch. Enjoy!

The "I need to eat more veggies" Soup

This soup is so versitile. I wind up tossing in whatever vegetables I need to use up and it always tastes good. Sometimes I add a bit of hot sauce for a kick.

A serving is about a cup, just perfect to pack for lunch with a half sandwich.
