I kind of made this up one night when I wanted something different using what I had in the cabinet and it's become a family favorite. It's good with either rice of pasta.
Not exactly diet, but I like to make it for dinner parties wouldn't be so with only 1/2 a slice... Cook time is freezing time - does not require any cooking. I may try it next time with lowfat ingredients.
I usually add a can of tomatoes and meat to a jar of spaghetti sauce, along with a few spices to freshen it up. For calorie calculation, I used a jar of sauce that had 60 calories in 1/2 cup and 3 cups in the jar.
I know there are a lot of recipes out there, but couldn't find what I usually make...
We typically have leftovers when we have steak so I use it the next day for strogonoff. I tweaked another recipe to make it lower fat and I can't really tell a difference. You could always start w/ raw steak and slice and cook before following the rest of the recipe.
I had something similar at a local restaurant as a side dish and decided it'd taste good in a pita pocket so I created this recipe. Makes a great lunch or quick snack. I normally eat it in a pita pocket, but did not include that in the calories here since pitas can vary in number of calories.
Yummy, easy, low-calorie Meringue cookies for a chocolate fix. The kids love this one too so it makes 50, but they'll be gone fast!
