A tasty side dish or vegetarian main course. Lots of possible variations and is lovely hot or cold.
A nice green soup, great for St Patrick's day or to enjoy this winter vegetable.
A rich, thick chunky tomato soup, good for using up a summer's surplus. Warm, hearty and delicious.
This is a tasty economical curry, interesting enough to make for guests and easy enough to make for any occasion. A family favourite.
This recipe makes a really thick custard (that wobbles on your spoon when cool and can practically be cut with a knife). It's sweet and ideal with puddings, cake, fruit salad or even on its own.
A great way to clean out the fridge of all those left over vegetables and turn them into a hearty, low-cal meal to feed a small crowd (or provide lunches for the week).
Oven-baking makes this a fantastic recipe to get going for those really busy nights.
Mix 1 tbsp with a large glass of soda water, mineral water or regular water for a refreshing, low-cal sweet drink. In general dilute between 1:5 and 1:8 according to taste.
Use lime juice instead of lemon for a great variation, or use the water from steeping 1 L mint leaves (loosely packed) for at least 30 minutes in 2 cups of boiled water, instead of the juice.
Hearty winter soup, easy to make and perfect for a lazy day. Accompany with crusty bread for a full meal, or use smaller portions for lunch or appetiser.
This recipe makes heaps of serves, but can easily be divided by 2 or 3 for a smaller group. Keeps for several days with an even better flavour on the 2nd day.
Serve with grated cheese, lettuce and either taco shells or burrito tortillas for a hearty meal. (Nutritional value of such extras not included in calculation)
