Inspired by one of my favorite recipes at Green Lite Bites (www.greenlitebites.com), I went with beef and rice instead of chicken and noodles.
I was trying to think of a marinade for the steak I wanted to cook on Memorial Day, and this is what I came up with. I thought, "If Coke is a good enough marinade for the Outback, it's good enough for me!" And it turned out well enough that I thought I'd share it here.
I saw a recipe similar to this on the show "Cooki Yourself Thin" and decided to try something like it with what I had on hand. It turned out pretty well.
From a recipe I found here on SP, but used less oil and made more servings, so needed to recalculate the NI.
Thought this was a nice alternative to the Subway meatball sub ... though it doesn't seem to come in that low in Points.
Craving Burger King onion rings? These are a fair substitute. Be careful not to burn them, though.
Not low-fat or low-cal, but they're so good — and they're a Christmas tradition in my family. Mom called me one year near Christmas, all excited that Kelly used "her" butter cookie recipe.)
I was craving some comfort food, and this seemed to fill the bill. It's quick, easy and not too high in calories or fat.
This was a favorite growing up, and I've been wanting to eat it again.
I took another recipe I found here and ran with it to make it my own. I think it's a fantastic substitute when you're craving pizza or pasta.
This is a leftover from my low-carb days, made a little lighter by use of light sour cream and fat-free Miracle Whip.
