This recipe came from a friend that found the juice to lower blood pressure, curb appetite. It doesnt sound like it would taste very good, but it is. Just make sure it is chilled.
This recipe makes six mini loaves; four servings to a loaf. Freeze what you are not eating right away in a heavy-duty plastic bag, these loaves will taste fresh baked for up to 3 months.
Fresh dill and caraway seeds can also be added for extra flavor. Mix dill with sour cream.
Original recipe adds 1 cup shredded carrots-I omit this in mine so my son will eat it.
This recipe is great for a cold day. I put it together the night before and turn on the crockpot before I leave for work. It's even better the next day. The sodium content is actually much lower because you will be draining and rinsing the beans.
Brown rice lowers the calories and amps up the fiber. I make big batches of meatballs, cook and let cool, then freeze in dinner size packages.
I use brown rice to make these a little healthier.
My son doesn't like the cabbage so I make his 'naked'. We make up a big batch and freeze them.
I found the recipe in a 1990 Cooking Light cook book. I tweaked it a little and cut the calories in half.
