This is a very thick and hearty soup that is perfect for those cool fall or winter dinners. It's very simple to prepare and ingredients can be substituted if you do not like one of them. I like to serve it with Tortilla chips on the side or broken into it. Sour cream, cheese (cheddar, colby or monterrrey jack), salsa and or pico de gallo all go well with it.
A great addition to almost any mexican meal. Leftovers can be rolled with chicken, beef, or beans in a tortilla for a fast burrito.
