This is a recipe I've developed myself from watching my Mom make potato salad for family functions my whole life. I've never really measured ingredients before. This is a calculated guess. Hope everyone enjoys it.
This fruitcake recipe is the one my Mom made my whole life growing up for the Christmas season. It comes from a very old cookbook called "The Treasury of Newfoundland Dishes". The original recipe calls for a little more of some kinds of fruit and a little less of others, but over all the amount of fruit is the same.
This is the recipe that my Mother made on a regular basis my whole childhood. Now I do it, but most of the time it's at Christmas time for my brother's who love it!
Mixture of nuts, raisins, sunflower seeds, cranberries, & chocolate chips
My Christmas Cheesecake. The recipe listed here is half a recipe. The original calls for one home made graham cracker crust to be baked in a large spring-form pan. However I like using the ready-made crusts. With these crusts I get 2 cheesecakes from one recipe of filling. I make one in Cherry & one in either Blueberry or Raspberry. For purposes of knowing the nutritional information, I list each recipe in half in my cookbook with the appropriate fruit topping. Light versions of ingredients are used where available. Also, the pie filling is listed in the amounts that I had on had at the time I was making my cheesecake and entering the recipe here... I purchased the filing at the Bulk Barn and therefore I didn't get a can with specific measurements written on it.

Mary Ann (that's the one & only from Gilligan's Island)... had a great recipe! Ever wonder where she got all the supplies to keep making those coconut cream pies?! I got this recipe many years ago from the TV guide. it's been a family favorite ever since...usually it's strictly a Christmas treat.
This recipe I got from my ex-mother-in-law. She's Portuguese and the best cook. She makes this recipe all the time for her family. Everyone, after decades of eating it, still look forward to the night when this is served for dinner! If you've never tried Portuguese cuisine... this could get you hooked! Plus it's fast to make!
A great way to kick of your morning if you need to eat breakfast on the run.
