A work in progress, but a mishmash of fresh veggies, chickpeas, jalapenos and herbs that stretches one can of tuna a long way. A favorite served with a bit of spicy horseradish mustard!
This is a spin-off of the chili my mom makes! I turned it healthy by subbing turkey for beef and tried to reduce the sodium a bit. Took this to a TOPS holiday potluck and it was a hit!
If you are still concerned about the sodium content, I recommend finding low sodium salsa or omitting the taco seasoning packet all together. Also, using ground turkey breast reduces the already minimal fat content.
