My own simple spin on Green Bean almondine. No oil. No butter. Just flavor! I did this in the crock pot, but you can also use the steamer green beans.
Threw some ingredients into a crockpot. It's what I had in the freezer. Came out really yummy.
Since most of the flavored cream cheeses are usually one-third fat or whole fat, I made my own flavored FF cream cheese w/ Fiber.
I concocted this recipe out of my head. I wanted to have something spicy for Super Bowl Sunday, but didn't want to make traditional buffalo wings. I wanted something with a bit more flavor, as well as having some more nutritional value.
I didn't have jalapenos but was fixin for something spicy, but not too fatty. So I thought up these "poppers." I had these mini bell peppers that I found. They are small peppers that LOOK like jalapenos, but they are sweet.
I took a recipe I found on SP from SP user CALICAT1977 and modified it w/ Whole wheat flour, splenda and egg white substitute. The original recipe was for a loaf, but I wanted to make muffins for easier portion control.
This was an experiment that turned out pretty good. Only 15 minutes to prep. And I got my salad ready while it was cooking.
There's a deli down the street that sells an incredible breakfast burrito, stocked full of yummy goodness. But it's SUPER high in fat.
So this is my attempt to make a healthier alternative. There's enough protein and fiber in just one serving to fill you up for most of the day!!
I add some Tabasco sauce to give it a spicy kick!
5 minutes to prepare and in 5 minutes it's GONE!!!
Stove top adds the right amount of seasoning and bread to give it lots of flavor with out overpowering. And it makes measuring a snap!
This is a variation of the lemony garlic chicken. I didn't have chicken breast, so I used skinless thighs. I didn't have bouillon, so I used cream of chicken soup. And i added a topping of low sodium stuffing. It is AWESOME!!!
Another impromptu recipe based on another slow cooker recipe. I didn't have all the ingredients for the other one, so I improvised with what I had in the house.
This impromtu salad I made because I had leftover pork chops (boneless) and wanted to do something different w/a salad. It's AWESOME!
I wanted something peanut buttery, but wanted it to last a lot longer. So I whipped this concoction up.
I didn't have any crust in the house and figured it's probably for the best. So I threw together these ingredients to make a quick and healthy breakfast for some friends.
Awesome substitute for regular home fries. the sweet potato adds vitamins and minerals and it's great tasting to boot!
My own concoction based on what I had in the house and my experience with other salads
