Slow Cooker Winter Fruit Compote

This is an easy dessert that is low-sugar and low-fat but very satisfying. Serve it hot or cold, it is very good with a little granola sprinkled on top for crunch.

Slow Cooker Chili

This is a mild chili with no heat but lots of flavor. It makes 3.5 quarts, so you can feed a crowd or freeze portions for easy meals later on. The cooking time is 6-8 hours in a slow cooker, to make on a stovetop the simmer time is 30-45 minutes.

Light and easy way to use leftover chicken or turkey breast.

Lighter Butter Spread

This spread tastes and can be used just like butter in cooking and baking, but is lighter in saturated fat and more spreadable. Keep refrigerated to maintain solid consistency.

This is a very refreshing, low-fat, low-calorie fruit salad. Tart and very pretty!
