This salad is a fan favorite and always goes when I have company! FYI - The calorie content per serving is higher than in reality because I can usually stretch the dressing to use for 2 salads... It is too much for one salad but I always make more because I make this salad often.
There is nothing low cal about this recipe... I just entered it in to see how many calories it was. BUT - It's great chili and every once in a while, why not?
When the basil I grow in my hydroponic herb garden overflows, this is a great way to use it up!!! Great on fish, pasta, potatoes, or as a spread on toast or crackers!
This is a side dish that is an interpretation of a california roll in salad form. YUM!!!
The longer you let this cook the better it will be... I let mine cook on a very low flame overnight.
I do not use potatoes in my cholent - the classic recipe omits the carrots & uses potatoes instead. I prefer it this way AND it is much healthier!
This is a very low calorie dish that is wonderful comfort food in the winter. I buy the pre-cut squash which cuts the prep time tremendously!
LOVE these!! Make them all the time & the kids love them too. Just the right amount of sweet, salty, & spicy.
This is a delicious crustless Pumpkin Pie recipe I created by replacing the crust with the crumb topping from my favorite cobbler recipe... YUM!!!
I use a heavy duty mixer to do the kneading (has a 7 pound flour capacity.) If you don't have one of these the dough will be very difficult to work with unless you add more flour (which will change the texture of the finished product a bit.)
Yummy comfort food in the cold winter months. Serve plain over rice or as a side dish. Makes a really large serving!!! If you eat it as a side dish - halve the serving & nutritional info!!!
Delicious on a cold winter day. Makes a ton & it freezes well in freezer bags! I cheat & buy the pre-peeled yams & squash so there is virtually NO prep time!
