I recently tried this recipe, it's great!
Jennifer Laughner, owner and chef of the Earth House Café in Indianapolis (http://www.earthhousecollecti
ve.org/cafe.html) grew up eating fresh local foods. Her wheat berry salad, which is a feature item in her restaurant, reflects her philosophy of simple food done well. The salad makes a great side dish or main course and is perfect for a brown bag lunch or picnic.
For those on a vegetarian diet, here is a great recipe for extra-protein french toast. For even more protein, top with vanilla yogurt mixed with 1 tsp soy protein powder and fresh berries -- it's delicious and so much healthier!
Hunan or Honan is a style of cooking that blend sweet and sour with hot and spicy. This has always been one of my favorite Chinese dishes! Here's my recipe in its current incarnation!
This burrito filling is delicious and spicy! I usually make a full batch and freeze half of it, but you can also make smaller batches.
This is the perfect breakfast! Quick to prepare, full of vitamin C and protein, and it has a delicious fresh flavor!
For those of you who miss gyros, this is a very tasty and nutritious pita filling!
This is one of those dinners that alleviates my cravings for pizza and pasta all at the same time!
So delicious and soothing, this soup is rather similar to French Onion. I always eat with fresh-baked bread.
This is a great recipe for mini-cheesecakes, including a real graham-cracker crust! Great with fresh berries on top!
I recently tried this in a restaurant, and it was sooo good! I haven't tried this recipe, but it looks very close to what I sampled, so I think it should be good!
Super spicy AND super healthy! This veggie quesadilla is very good, and takes no time at all to make!
