Low Sodium, Low Fat, Decent Fiber, No Meat, Barley Beef Flavored Soup
This was the first time I used TVP. It turned out quite well, my husband didn't realize it wasn't ground beef lol!
Delightful to use on top of the Kickin' Croissant Bread Pudding or whatever else you'd like to put it on.
A Winner in Restaurant Desserts! Raved about by a certain city newspaper food critic as well as loved by the homebodies who make it.
Serve with Caramel Sauce (see that recipe)
This turned out so crispy on the outside and so moist and soft on the inside.
*I didn't have buttermilk on hand so I used 1Tbls lemon juice in 1Cup of milk, let it set for 5 minutes or so and that is the substitute for Buttermilk (you can use 1Tbls vinegar instead of lemon juice if you like)
The Powdered Sugar is just to coat the Cake after it's cooled.
Ummmm, comfort food....
Warning: You might need a box of tissues near your napkin!

South American staple. The citrus "cooks" the fish. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
