When craving a chocolate fix, I altered our favorite breakfast cookie recipe by taking out the dried fruit and replacing it with chocolate chips. These chocolatey delights are still just for an occasional treat, but they offer a healthier alternative to traditional chocolate chip cookie recipes.
Adapted from Arkansas Life magazine, July 2012, recipe from Greenhouse Grill in Fayetteville, AR. Original recipe called for 3 cups rough-chopped parsley, but it was far too overpowering. I have substituted one cup chopped cilantro, and the whole family is delighted with the results.
