modified from good housekeeping recipe - interesting calories a bit different especially on carbs which i didn't change much
Adapted from Good Housekeeping - not as spicy for my family's taste - lowered fat with chicken sausage, but roux type oil/flour is still there.
entered not because it is unusual although hopefully it is very tasty, but so that I can track sodium (used what I had but attempted to drop sodium) as well as increase fiber (barley both adds fiber and thickens without tomato paste) and to share with my family who use sparkpeople; chili purists of course will scoff, but I look for healthy tasty options so here's one.
okay so I tinkered - I didn't want the pasta calories calculated in the recipe and I didn't want as much olive oil and I had to ditch the salt as I need to becareful with that nowadays so I had to recalculate - so that's why the recipe's here.

looked through the existing recipes and didn't find one that was identical; used less olive oil - so save a little pasta water to help thin to taste. not outrageously spicy but quite tasty.
This a really good basic recipe adapted from one in usaweekend several years ago - I actually used low fat half and half, but couldn't find its calculations on here and threw out the container so the recipe I made had maybe 10 more calories per serving. Big servings which makes the calories not quite so bad.

This is Granny's zucchini bread by MSCAT3851 with enough modifications that I needed to recalculate. Serving size is 16 pieces per loaf because I can cut a loaf into 16 pieces easily whereas I goof when I try 12 or 14 pieces. I've also changed some other things too.
I've adapted these muffins from an older recipe I had to increase nutrition. They are not very sweet, but they are enjoyable. I don't like to use artificial sweeteners, but that would be an easy way to increase sweetness for those who want a sweeter muffin or use a nonfat lemon flavored yogurt.
These are great tasting muffins; they taste almost like cookies; they are not low calorie-just look at the oil. Great recipe if you can afford the calories and want a different type of muffing (based off of Muffin Madness which I think is from Mollie Katzen's cookbook)
I have a very different variant with chicken which is good, too. This recipe is more directly related to one in a food & wine cookbook but has been heavily adapted. Originally I just used olive oil spray but as my family has increased our calorie intake, I've added modest fats back into our diet. This recipe works with olive oil spray.
recipe entered so that I could know how many calories/pancake; these are very nice pancakes and calories did not turn out too bad. Probably could tinker with oil content carefully, but hate for them to stick.
ginger was accidental - i thought it was a frozen banana, but it doesn't taste bad - just different and wakes you up.
this is the result of combining leftovers and getting some healthy fats into our diet
adapted from an old Pillsbury recipe using current measurements with no tiny leftover amounts
