I make this up and freeze it. Very good on a cold day or just feeling blah.
This is a recipe that's much better the next day.
Easy no fuss. My measurements are estimates. You can substitute bread crumbs or rice for the oatmeal. Use egg whites if you like. I only use extra lean ground beef so those values are not accurate. This is more a guideline for myself. But anyone else is welcome to try it.
This is made entirely from fresh veggies out of my garden or fresh from the local farmer. I do not use canned ingredients. They contain salt. Which I don't cook with either. My only concern with the recipe is finding the values for a soup bone.
This is a typical Dutch Dinner. I couldn't find a nutritional value for the keilbassi so I substituted Polish Sausage.
The meal is very filling. It can also be made with spinach, endive, carrots or saurkraut.
I've used kale (borenkool) in this recipe.
