This is fresh bean classic that I prepare in bulk (4 servings) and keep in the fridge for when I am ready for a snack or pre-portion it for work lunches.
For my slow cooking comfort chili I recommend that you add the chili's and spices to taste, we like spicy, so it's easier for us to add spice & heat without adding to the calories. :) I also find that if you are not a fan of onions, it helps to cook those separately so they break down some and won't be as chunky in the chili later. It's also easy to make it vegetarian by removing the turkey. Makes 21 (1) Cup servings. Enjoy~
