Recipes I've Shared:
All the picky, meat-loving men in my life LOVE this chili. Just don't tell 'them about the beets, OK?
Loaded with veggies and flavor! No one will notice that the meats and cheeses have been healthi-fied and scaled back.
Don't boil your noodles first! It's a hot, messy headache, and it's completely unnecessary if you use my "lasagna-sandwich" baking method!
I'm Irish, so I can get away with it ;o) Enjoy!
Adapted these from Yoga Magazine and didn't have particularly high hopes because I haven't had great results from all-whole-wheat pastry recipes. THIS ONE...turned out to be phenomenal! My father, who is notorious for disliking anything "grainy" or "healthy-tasting" LOVED these muffins. The whole batch was gone in a day!
My first attempt to create copycat odwalla bars. These are energy "food bars," not low-Calorie diet food. Good meal replacement or hiking food.
Apricot, ginger, sesame and cashew flavors.
Note: Three places where this rendering of the recipe is innacurate.
I used raw cashews, which I cannot find in Spark's database, so I subbed dry roasted, which have a somewhat higher fat content.
I used Nido brand milk powder, equivalent to 1 cup whole milk. This may or may not match spark's database.
I used .5 C brown rice syrup, which is roughly equivalent to .35 c honey.
Canola instead of butter.
Less cashews? Substitute some (lower-fat) almonds for the 1/4 c ground cashews?
Quick, easy and full of flavor - great for dorm/apparment dwellers and/or busy days!
My Grandmother's "Sloppy Joes" - you'll never eat the canned version again!
Vinaigrette and Pears?! They're out of this world!
Pardon the pun! This is a very basic, very easy, VERY good Indian Daal recipe
