A delicious refreshing spinach salad, developed by my sister-in-law and put on their farms spinach bags.
Not a healthy recipe because these are deep fried. For me they're a once a year treat at my brother's business' open house.
These delicious cabbage rolls were made so often by my 94 year old friend, Lillian Powell, that she gave me the recipe without looking at a recipe card! I watched her make them and she gave me some to taste, and they are simply delicious!
I love this dessert, but make it only occasionally. After calculating the calories, I see that it is something I will NOT be making very often.
Makes 36 brownies
Recipe makes 20. Texans I know called these "Sloppy Joes". In Iowa they're known as "Taverns".
We like to put a slice of cheese on with a slice of tomato. These are not included in the calorie count.
A "Dutch" treat, usually made around Christmas (when almond paste is available in our stores). We also buy the paste and freeze it so that we can make banket for our school auction in April.
Need 2 days to make this recipe. The 1st 2 steps takes only about 15-20 minutes. The second day takes about 15-30 minutes depending on how good you are at rolling out dough. Cook time is 20-30 minutes.
I never realized before how many calories are in one little piece. I've learned that I will have to eat this in moderation instead of eating half a stick (or a whole) at one sitting!!
Not real sweet tasting, but very good bar/pan cookies.

A refreshing salad, good for bringing to your potluck dinner. Got the recipe from an almost 93 year old lady who made some for me to try. It was delightful!
