I started with the recipe on the bag of bread flour. I've played with it for years, and this is the version my family likes best.
Sneaking in fiber and nutrients with dessert. Great left over for breakfast the next day. Based on a version from Family Fun Magazine. If you aren't using a food processor, pulverize a cup of the oats to flour like consistency in a blender.
This uses real steel cut oats, not instant or rolled. It is adapted from a Moosewood recipe that calls for currants or raisins and salt. Use whatever fruit calls to you. I have tried apples, peaches, pears, and craisins. All of those worked nicely.
