Rachel's Green Pina Colada

Green smoothies are PACKED with nutrients and this one for sure does! Add the coconut cream because the vitamin A, D, E & K is fat soluble so your body has to have the food combined with a fat when consuming for your body to absorb the nutrient. Because of the high fruit content, the spinach and carrots can't be tasted but you still get their vitamins!

Rachel's Primal Lasagna - Noodle Free!

I love this noodle-free lasagna and the sauce is gorgeous (see pictures) It's from a recipe I tweaked over on Recipezaar and it is delicious!!!

You will need one 9x13 pan and one 8x8 pan to make this dish as it makes a ton of filling!

Rachel's Cherry Avocado Smoothie

I LOVE this smoothie. It's so rich and creamy and has the texture of the best ice cream - without dairy! This smoothie is like eating 5 servings of fruits and veggies and it's delicious to boot! You can't even taste the veggies - I promise!

Made this today on a whim - pretty delicious for no recipe!

Rachel's Primal Sweet Potato Fries or Chips

Here's my recipe for primal chips or fries (depending on how you slice them.) This is based off of a recipe from 150 Things to Make with Roast Chicken by Tony Rosenfeld.

If you're not "Primal to the core" you could add 1 teaspoon brown sugar to this mix.

My version of French Onion Soup. To make this primal or low carb, omit the 3 tsp. of brown sugar.

Rachel's Best for you blueberry smoothie

This was a recipe that I created and can also be found on my recipezaar account. If you aren't into blueberries, try organic frozen cherries!

This recipe fits in with Primal living - no processed chemical low fat junk. Just natural ingredients without all the additives.

Wild organic blueberries are jam packed with Vitamin K, Manganese, Antioxidants and anthocyanins. They have been shown to lower Cholesterol and are good for anti-aging.

Kefir has "several major strains of friendly bacteria not commonly found in yogurt, Lactobacillus Caucasus, Leuconostoc, Acetobacter species, and Streptococcus species. It also contains beneficial yeasts, such as Saccharomyces kefir and Torula kefir, which dominate, control and eliminate destructive pathogenic yeasts in the body." (Kefir.net)

Rachel's Spicy Feta Dip (Tyrosalata)

I LOVE tyrosalata - one of my favorite Greek dips! This was a recipe that I created and can also be found on my recipezaar account.

This recipe fits in with Primal living - no processed chemical low fat junk. Just natural ingredients without all the additives. It's great for low carb too!

This goes great on pitas or Lavash, chicken or fresh vegetables. Yum! I was trying to find a substitute for Trader Joe's Spicy Feta Dip because my family will no longer buy it because it contains canola oil. This is not as thick and clumpy due to the fact I put it in the blender. I'll try to give the closest measurements I can because I made it by just throwing things into the blender.
