This is a fast and tasty weeknight dish. You may use reduced sodium teriyaki if you wish.
This recipe is lighter than most enchiladas and the flavor is great. It freezes well and leftovers make great lunches!
This soup smells wonderful and the beans make it very filling. Try using different types of beans for variety. Lentils work well in there too. You could even omit the turkey sausage to make it vegetarian or just to cut the calories.
This is a simple, flavorful salad. For a vegetarian version, substitute canned kidney beans for the chicken. Can also add about 6 baked or Fat Free Doritos for excellent crunch and flavor, but you will have to adjust the calorie count.
This is a nice sweet treat that doesn't ruin your whole day. This uses regular Splenda (or sucralose) NOT Splenda for baking. You can use the Splenda for baking or you may use granulated sugar, however, the calorie count will not be accurate.
This recipe is easy to make and the Fat Free Miracle whip really keeps the calories down. You could omit the eggs for even lower calorie count, but I had some easter eggs to get used up;)
This recipe is healthier than using condensed mushroom soup. It could be made even healthier by using low-sodium bouillon cubes but I did not have any on hand. It still has half the sodium of regular cream of mushroom, and NO FAT. You could also substitute 3 cups of evaportated skim milk for the powdered milk and water.
Keep in mind that one serving of this equals a half cup. Most people, however, do not eat cream of mushroom soup plain, but if you add this into a recipe, the calculator should take care of the guesswork.
To make this into cream of chicken, simply omit the mushrooms.
My family doesn't eat a whole roast, so I cube the leftovers and make them into stew the next day. My kids don't like celery, but this would be great with celery in it.
This probably isn't the healthiest recipe, but I've yet to find a good homemade sauce that works as well or tastes as good as store-bought.
