I'm hesitant to share the recipe because of the fat content, but I wanted to know just how bad this dish was....bad. Tastes so very yummy as it, please feel free to substitute with less fatty ingredients. Though I was informed that margarine cannot be used to replace the butter, don't know why...wonder what happens...
Need to get rid of some fresh veggies? This is the dish for you, you can pretty much throw in anything you like and it will turn out tasting fabulous!
I know it won't quite be the same, but I had to "lighten" it up. We eat this as a side dish with Thanksgiving and Christmas, but its sweet enough to be a dessert.
Had a version of this at Olive Garden, supper yummy, thought it could be made lower in fat. Hope you like it!
"Type A" Recipe, Vegetarian. I switched out some things for lower fat, lower calorie ingredients.
Makes 4 cups( 64 servings), nutritional info is a bit off, closer to 2 grams of fat per serving. Welcome to substitute reduced fat cream cheese for fat free, but I just don't care for the taste of that.
You can use either fresh or frozen fruit, great any time of year. Excellent for potlucks or picnics!
Can be grilled or raosted in the oven, either way its tasty! Serve with rice.
Already lower fat meal made even better by substituting regular egg noodles with "No Yolks", imaging what you could do if you traded chicken legs for breasts...
