my original recipe called for it to be wrapped up in a tortilla shell, but tortillas have to many calories for me, so I serve it over brown rice
may substitute chicken for the meat
may add red peppers
may use pea pods instead of peas
may use smooth peanut butter
Add peanuts at the end if you want.

I substitute ground turkey for the lean ground beef
From Kraft Foods.com, with slight variation. They added 3 slices thin sliced honey ham, chopped.
I do prefer frozen mixed vegetables, but didn't have any on hand
I do prefer red and yellow bell peppers to be added to it, but again, didn't have any.

can use parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese in this recipe for added flavor, I don't as we are trying to lower cholesteral
