Sweet and Sour Tofu

This is a lovely dish that's quick tomake and very easy. Serve over brown rice, and it makes a filling meal. I sometimes add bamboo shoots and water chestnuts to add extra crunch.

Cabbage Oyster

This is an unusual recipe, one my grammy from Maine made. There are no oysters involved- I have no idea how they got into the name! When I've served this to guests,they look at me like I'm crazy, but they always ask for seconds! The cooked cabbage is quite sweet, nicely balanced with the milk. Good with biscuits or whole grain home made bread.
