My Mother use to make this all the time while I was growing up. I just used ground turkey but you can use lean hamburger meat instead or add pinto beans for protien. Excellent soup for cold winter days.
Jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese wrapped with turkey bacon makes a satisfying treat.
This low calorie - low fat soup has a kick to it. Around 150 calories for three cups it satisfies! Serve with cornbread or tortillas to help cool it down. Very spicy!
