I combined two favorite lasgan recipes, taking what I liked from each. In the calculations I used ground beef but you can substiture ground chicken/turkey for lower fat.
I tried using as many low fat and low sodium ingredients as I could find and will list what I used in my calculations. Recipe was calulated using asiago cheese.
All the ingredients are suggestive, this is my husband's receipe so I'm not real sure of the measurements on some of the amounts or all the spices he uses. He doesn't allow me in the kitchen when he's cooking.
Very high in potassium and, sadly, sodium.
This makes a big loaf, enough for two med sized loaf pans. It also makes great burgers!
Makes 12 - 16 servings
In a graham cracker crust, it's a great, no bake, dessert, but it can also be used as a fruit dip using only two tubs of cream cheese. You can use a pre-made graham cracker crust or just eat as a mousse. This recipe is so simple and versatile, I know it will become a family favorite.
I usually make this with boneless, skinless, chicken breasts and thighs. An old recipe I got from a friends mother that makes it's own gravy! (I apologize for the nutrition calculations, not quite sure how to do that yet)
