This is a higher calorie 'salad' because we generally serve it as a main dish with sliced fresh tomatoes for a cool meal on a hot summer day. It is also great made with Fat-Free Italian dressing ( and lower calories) but the men in the family prefer the mayonaise based version!
Uses Kraft Mayo with Olive oil at half the calories of regular mayo-based slaw. Adjust lemon juice to taste.
A surprise blessing of an abundance of wild blackberries right outside our door led to this dessert to take advantage of the seasonal goodness!
A quick and easy fruit salad to start your day or grab as a snack! Offers a combination of carb/ protein for optimal nutrition!
Easy to toss this together early and let chill until ready to eat! Serves one but easily can be made in larger batches and divided!
This has been a family favorite for years! A few changes have been made from time to time finally settling with this combination. The 'optional' celery and turnip are must haves according to grandma and my mother, but it's still a great soup regardless of how you "tweek" it! Of course feel free to adjust ingredient amounts to suit your own taste.
