This is a remake of the Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana. It is probably one of my all time favorite soups. I love to go to Olive Garden for soup, salad and breadsticks. I have switched out the high fat pork producs with turkey sausage and turkey bacon. I have also reduced the cream content, because after I made this the first time, it was almost too creamy with 2 cups of heavy cream. The good new is you can add a much kale as you want and get a good dose of greens with this soup. It has all of the elements of a balanced meal. Another tip, if you wish to remove some sodium, take out the turkey bacon. The soup is just as good without bacon because the turkey sausage is so flavorful.
The original recipe calls for pork sausage, but I substituted turkey sausage and it's awesome. Great in a bread bowl, but less calories over rice.
This is a creamy stew beef and mushrooms to go over broad noodles. It's excellent as left overs. This is a double batch. Cook meat and mushrooms in slow cooker, make the noodles separately.
Serve with Brown Rice. Serves 6
Make the crockpot Chicken Master recipe first. I used two pre-packaged chicken breasts.
Yes this is a high calorie one....But it is soooooo good. You could skip the tomatillo salsa for regular salsa and take out some calories. Could save some calories by going to tofo or turkey chorizo as well.
Seems like a lot, it feeds a lot too.
The full name of this recipe is Rachel Ray Chicken Breasts with Chestnut Stove Top Stuffing and Balsamic Cream Gravy
Stir Fried instead of deep fried. You can substitute pork chops for the chicken breasts.
