I was browsing through recipes on Spark and took the parts that I liked from different recipes to come up with this on my own! I used what I had available but I would have loved to use more tomatoes if I had them!
This is adapted from a Hungry Girl Recipe... I use light whole wheat bread instead of the hot dog buns the recipe calls for.
I made this with whole eggs but of course you could substitute eggbeaters, egg whites, or use a combination of egg and egg whites. (Aprox 2 egg whites for each egg you replace)
I love these when I am having a chocolate craving. The calorie count is per waffle but I normally eat two!
I love taco salads for the crispy bowl and all the lettuce and cheese but I also love chicken fajitas with the peppers, onions and smoky flavor so I combined it all for a much lower calorie and still very tasty alternative!
I just threw this together for dinner with what I had on hand. I love the way it turned out and it is very filling!
I love this for breakfast even if it is a little high in calories.... you can skip the honey and walnuts to save some calories or maybe use a lower calorie tortilla!
Just my way of enjoying oatmeal in the morning. Gets rid of my chocolate craving too!
You can cut the fat and calories on this by using fat-free milk and reduced fat or fat-free cheese.
This is my favorite recipe for potatoes. You can make it even lighter by using nonfat or lowfat cheese, nonfat sour cream and nonfat milk. But I like a little fat and I used what I had available! LOL
This is a really tasty pizza you can make quickly and easily... It serves two or you can be greedy and eat it all by yourself! LOL
I like this with Salmon too but I show it here with Tuna cause that is what most people have already handy in the cupboard! Substitutions will change the nutritional data so please recalculate to get the correct info.
This is a very rich dish that I absolutely love.... It is not exactly the healthiest dish in the world though the fat content is reasonable when you see how many calories are in each serving.... LOL But when I splurge on this I keep the rest of my calories for the day on the low side. I'm sure you can make it healthier by substiting but I like it like this.
This is a basic stir-fry that I like to make up when I want a quick healthy dinner. If you don't like shrimp you can always substitute chicken, beef or pork and any stir-fry veggies will do. (I normally keep several bags in the freezer!)
This is from the Hungry Girl website and it is one of my favorites! I modified it a little by using garlic powder instead of garlic salt cause I am trying to watch my sodium but you can also use any spices you might like as well!
