Bean / green chocolate smoothie

I'm still tweaking this...but with 11 g of fiber and 14 g of protein I think it's worth trying. The beans make it very filling and a lovely brown chocolate-y color. No need to hide the color of this smoothie :D

Pumpkin "Egg" Nog Smoothie

Adapted from Hungry Girl

Roasted Garbanzo Beans (low sodium, low fat)

Almost NO fat and zero sodium for this little portable snack. You won't miss the salt with the garbanzo's natural nutty flavor. If you can handle more fat or sodium, you can add curry powder or salt & red pepper before roasting.

Turkey Chili (low sodium)

Start with dry beans to keep sodium down.

Incredible! (1 rating)
Seaweed Smoothie

You'll need a full sized blender, not the held-held one to chop up the greens

Green Smoothie (Avocado, Kiwi & Spinach)

I'm going to try it without peeling the kiwi next time

Spinach Smoothie

Apples for sweetness, Oranges to balance the bitterness of the spinach. Very refreshing!

Carrot Cake Smoothie

You can replace honey with Splenda if needed. Leave out the coconut if you want to reduce the fat.

Beet and Strawberry Smoothie

Gorgeous color! You can use fresh beets, too, just cook them first.

Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert

Good alternative to ice cream when strawberries are in season. The yogurt gives this dessert a tart, not-too-sweet tang that I like. You can use with-sugar pudding mix if you don' t like that sugar-free after taste.

Baby Zucchini, stewed

Thais makes a nice quick lunch for one

Stuffed Red Peppers

Veggie sausage adds flavor without so much fat.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Peanut flavor a'la Williamsburg's Peanut soup
