I love sweet stuff and lately this has been curing my sugar craving while also giving me a protein boost.
Found this recipe on the Sargento website and modified it. The original recipe was 610 calories; the modified recipe is 327 calories. It's almost half the calories! Using Low Carb Barbecue sauce will lower the calories by 100 or so.
This soup is super filling and I usually eat it as a meal. For the soup, any veggies can be added of your choosing, just modify the calorie count accordingly. I don't add any extra sodium to this and make my own stock!
PLEASE NOTE: The SODIUM count is WAY off. The sodium is figured if you're using REGULAR STORE BOUGHT chicken broth, NOT homemade broth. Homemade stock only has about 30 calories per cup (per the recipe I use in my BHG Cookbook but the one on here shows almost 90! I used the values for store bought and used homemade. I don't add salt to my homemade stock AT ALL, so the only salt in it is naturally occuring from the meat and veggies
Found this recipe on Punkiepies.blogspot.com and did a recipe makeover to lower the fat and calories. The end result is about a 200 calorie difference between my version and theirs. I reduced the amount of cookies, and used lower cal/fat or sugar ingredients. The end result is just as good but with about HALF the calories!! I'll take a pic and add it to the recipe!!!
