I had some sausage balls at a recent girls' wine night, and decided to go home and make my own leaner version with the scant number of ingredients I had on hand. The texture is perfect and the balls a delicious appetizer or even main dish meat item. Would also be delicious with an extra spicy sausage or some garlic seasoning.
