Sometimes I crave the flavors of Thanksgiving but don't want all the fuss and calories. I'll be experimenting with making a sweet potato flat bread, if I succeed, I'll post the recipe.
This is a cake that is well loved at potliucks & family gatherings & is a snap to make.
I'm not leaving instructions as I am working on reducing the calories, sugar & fat. I'm putting this up as a benchmark. Plus my Mom gave us a few today & I wanted to figure out the damage.
Trying to find a way to make some classics into something healthier. Soy dogs replace fatty processed meat & biscuit dough is replaced with phyllo dough
Way back when I was a reformed omnivore and lived the vegetarian lifestyle, though I missed some comfort foods, like meatloaf. I tried many recipes and eventually pulled together this recipe. I have fooled a few omnivores who thought it was made with beef. To make this vegan, omit the eggs- the texture will be a bit more crumbly.
