This pot roast recipe was found on allrecipes.com and submitted by Chef John. I adapted it to my own taste using different seasonings.
My husband loves wild game; however, I have to mask the taste of it sometimes, especially when I am pregnant! I found this recipe to be great tasting and makes a lot. I freeze half of this when I make it!
I call this my make in a bag caesar salad. I like all my dressing to mix in with all my lettuce, toppings etc...so I put everything in a ziploc bag and shake salad til coated! Fast and easy! You can wash and reuse the bags!
This is a strawberry glaze recipe with fresh strawberries added to it. I add a little extra water to make it more like syrup.
My husband is a big hunter and absolutely loves elk meat! However, elk is hard to stay together on its own because it is so lean and there is little to no fat so we mix our ground elk with ground beef. We use ground beef 90/10 or sometimes 85/15. Our burgers are pattied 1/3 to 1/2 pound and taste absolutely delicious! I am not sure about how much seasoning...I kinda guessed!
