super tasty to use homemade ketchup instead of store bought.
Amazing what can be found at the farmes market and backyard for a quick soup to take to work all week!
The are great power bars. The entire office has shared the recipe as well as sending it around to friends and family to get people to stop buying the processed bars in a box.
Baked at 375 degrees farenheit for about 30 minutes - no crsut less calories
Have used this recipe for Thanksgiving and other functions where we have people visiting so we aren't mashing potatoes at the last minute when everyone is ready to sit down.
This is extremely fresh tasting even with the tomatoes from the supermarket instead of the garden in the dead of winter January. Made this for the first time over the weekend and everyone loved it!
This is my version of a shrimp etoufee. Very yummy.
Serve with brown or white rice, quiona, couscous etc. Whatever your taste is.
Super yummy - got this recipe off of food network back in 2000. Have modified it slightly based on cooking times with a convection oven and ingredients available.
If you don't have shelled nuts like pistachios increase the walnuts or almonds or add in pecans with the mixture.
It helps to have someone laying in the phyllo dough as another person brushes the butter on.
Love these! One of the favorite holiday items to put out for everyone to enjoy - very pretty on the plate.
Good Warm, Hot or Cold
Cut down on some of the butter and brown sugar as the bananas and sweet potatos are sweet already.
Super yummy and good with a crusty bread toasted in the oven - no oil or butter on the bread needed. Or some Rice and Azukai Bean chips from Trader Joes or on soft Sourdough bread.
Fantastic Recipe. Very tasty and reminds me of fall at our house in WI. Cranberries are from Tomah WI.
Healthy Start to the day
(I also prefer using Greek Gods - Greek yogurt)
Use this for dipping cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, celery, etc. (I have had people eat this with tostitos and whole grain crackers as well.)
Should make about 50 cookies with utilizing a tablespoon for a table setting.
9 cups of granola is the finished product.
1/4 cup should be the serving size as this can be very filling
This is extremely yummy! Really helps to get the protein in.
We love this tart as there is no cream cheese in this. Absolutely fantastic and berry filled!
Yeilds 3.5 cups of pickles. 7 servings 1/2 cup each.
Favorite summer time pickle until the garlic dills are ready which can take up to two months for them to properly "cook" in their juices to develop their flavor.
These are a must to bake in the oven so you aren't using fat to fry them and they are crispy on the outside tender on the inside.
Very tasty and satisfying.
Makes 16 cups of soup so you can determine how much you want - appetizer or for a full meal. I have set this up as 8 servings so I get two cups per meal for work.
very tasty! Great will all the fresh produce coming in this summer.
This is sour and a little sweet. Does help to satisfy a craving for some sweet when everyone else around is having goodies and trying to stay healthy.
Rather Fattening, but once in a while I need a treat and I just watch what I eat the rest of the day or take the cheddar cheese out to help reduce calories.
Super yummy - very filling and tastes great warm or cold.
Do not put on lettuce until ready to serve. As kids this mixture was used numerous times over top of fresh garden potatoes that were just boiled as well. Makes a very yummy meal and a great way to get the kids to eat their salads if they are picky eaters.
this cake helps my chocolate craving while giving me a little something more than a candy bar. I don't do frosting on this like the rest of the family as it adds to the calories but a little treat once in a while is not so bad.
This recipe has been double and tripled many times depending on who we have over for fresh tacos. HUGE hit in the summer with all of the fresh salsa, tomatoes and lettuce.
These can be used fresh hot off the griddle or if you like fried in some canola oil for chips or for taco shells.
So fresh and yummy with new garden ingredients - Scallions, Parsley, and Spinach. If you want you can substitute frozen spinach about 4 ounces completely drained.
very tasty and fresh - don't cook the celery too long you still want a little crunch
Favorite to use up stocks and canned or frozen items from last year and left over pot roast.
Used this instead of mayonaisse or miracle whip
Enjoy - My mother likes to put this in the 200 degree overn for 20-30 minutes to make it crispy and crunchy. I prefer the right after butter poured on myself with a 1/4 cup of mini chocolate chips tossed in.
Fantastic meatballs - fried on the stove or baked in the oven. Smoothered in our home canned spaghetti sauce. The flavors far out weigh the stuff from the store pre-packaged (meatballs and the sauce)
Fresh rhubarb in spring always brought fresh yummy desserts at home on the farm.
working on more protein in the diet and healthier grains
Used to get this as kids living on a dairy farm where fresh food was a staple - goes really well with a baked potato
Very good fresh spring quiche - we put in other variations of ingrediants depending on what we have on hand.
FYI - King Arthur Flour - unbleached all purpose is the best to utilize and mix with some rye or wheat if you want a little more whole grain.
You can also utilize different cheeses - grueyer, cheddar, parmesan, feta, etc whatever your tastes are.
Love this rye bread recipe!
Add a hint of real vanilla extract to the melted butter and mashmallows for an extra bit of flavor.
Also have added food coloring to the melted butter and marshmallows for my nieces at different holidays.
Excellent - everyone loves these pancakes
Make as hot as you like - The new salt free Chili 9000 seasoning from Penzey's really is the best seasoning for homemade chili by far.
can also be put into a waffle iron - 3 per person
Very yummy and satisfying with the cold winters we have in the midwest. Very good with strawberries, blueberries, dried fruit etc.
Chop Dill Pickles in a Food Processor, Put in Cream Cheese Blend until smooth/chunky
Slow cook all of these items over a double boiler. I typically take about 1/2 cup of the recipe to work and eat with fruit in the morning. Make it on the weekends and freeze in containers for work all week.
