This was the best spaghetti sauce I have ever tasted. I have revised the recipe to use Ground Turkey and Turkey Italian Sausage instead of beef and pork. Hope you like it.
This is not a recipe designed for Healthy eating. I was trying to figure out how BAD it really was. This is however, authentic cajun gumbo.
I always thought this was the best mushroom recipe ever. I have omitted 1/3 of the wine and half of the butter from the nutritional info. I did this after measuring the remaining juice after all of the mushrooms had been served and skimming the butter for measurement. If you actually consume all of the juice you will need to add these portions back.
I got this recipe off of the Betty Crocker site and it is delicious.
Enjoy!

This rich, creamy pasta sauce was the result of an experiment. We wanted to make a creamy, mushroom-y pasta topping with no cream. We're trying to watch our diet a little better, and while we were eating pasta there was no need to indulge in cream, right?
The creaminess and thickness in a sauce can come through many methods. One of these is cream - the common ingredient of Alfredo and other cream sauces. Some pasta toppings, like carbonara, use eggs to thicken and give richness.
One lighter option is a roux, or flour-thickened, sauce. We had seen this dismissed as too difficult. Pshaw! A roux is nothing more than a little butter and flour, cooked over low heat until the flour grains swell. Then they are whisked together with hot liquid, the grains swell to thicken the sauce and voilá! You have thick, creamy pasta sauce without too much fat.
The bulk of this sauce is white wine, broth, and mushrooms. We don't use a lot of wild mushrooms - they are expensive, and just a few will do here to give flavor.
The result? Silky, thick and creamy pasta sauce - full of toothsome mushrooms and a little green parsley. The flavor of wine, wild mushrooms, and black pepper predominate - and it's not too fattening! Leaves you an excuse for plenty of cheese...
My wife loves the Orzo salad from our local grocery store. However it is floating in oil and we are trying to track our food. So I came up with this recipe with less oil by using Newman's Own Light Balsamic Vinaigrette. It is cool and refreshing on a hot summer day. Hope you enjoy.
This recipe was originally posted by MAVIS03 (thanks MAVIS03). I changed the Mayonnaise from original to light. These are really great and a good source of protien.
This is our attempt at enjoying pizza and still trying to mind our mission. Hope you enjoy.
I love Blue Cheese Dressing but it was not fitting into my new life style. I read a couple of recipes and came up with this one that is a little different. Enjoy!
This is a recipe I originally got off of http://recipes.chef2chef.net My wife and I love it. The Hollandaise is a little decadent but sometimes you just have to.
Growing up in Texas I always loved enchiladas. When I moved away I found that the enchiladas were different. Some places even put tomato sauce over them :-|. This gravy recipe is taken from one by Robb Walsh and only slightly altered to try to remove some of the oil. I hope you enjoy as much as we do.
This is a quick easy Marinara that is great just over whole wheat pasta or with spaghetti and meat balls. The nutritional values do not contain the pasta or the Garlic Bread. Enjoy!
This is a snack tray we like to put out for an afternoon of watching sports. Nascar, NFL, etc. Sometimes you just have to splurge.
