cook brown or black rice, add to raw ground turkey, onions, oregano, parsley and mix. stuff into 1.5 peppers cut in half
put all ingredients except water in food processor and process, add water to desired consistency, I add 1/4 cup at a time.
This was my mother in laws recipe and it is just such a great side dish. It's great to use with leftover rice. I prefer basmati, but you could use jasmine too.
This pita sandwich is so satisfying and pretty healthy too!
Almond butter is so expensive so I decided to make my own. I like to add flax for extra nutrition. You could also add honey if you prefer a sweeter butter or salt if you like to. I prefer it natural myself. This particular recipe doesn't make a whole lot, so you can always double or triple. Also, you can add more olive oil if too dry.
So easy and so yummy, we make it at least once a week. It even tastes delicious the next day cold.
