This is a land family favorite when lots of friends or family coming by.
MIx Gumbo mix according to directions except for substituting 3 c. of chicken broth for 3 c. of water, So total you will have 3 c. chicken broth & 3 c. of water. Add in two andouille sausages and 10 oz. of cut up chicken breast, cook according to directions and serve with Green Chile Cornbread.
Mix 2 packets of cornbread following directions in two seperate bowls, except substituting 1/3 of milk for cream corn in each bowl. Spray with cooking spray 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish pour one bowl of cornbread mixture into pan. Now spread green chili's over the top of cornbread layer. Dollop 6 TBL of cream cheese onto six pieces of the cornbread layer, now pour second layer of cornbread on top. Bake for 20 min. until top golden brown. Serve with honey.
My favorite pizza
Cut up and freeze 2 c. of peaches ( I also like to use Mango)
To a Blender add 3 C. orange juice, add 2 c. frozen peaches and 4 TBL of Peach Schnapps
This makes 10 1/2c. mixture to pour into frozen popsicle molds
Found similar recipe in Weight Watchers magazine but added more ingredients
We serve this at Christmas and Easter...family favorite
2 c. fresh mango chopped
1 c. coconut milk
1 c. water
4 tbl. organic sugar
blend all together in a popsicle mold until frozen.
Makes six popsicles.
