Grilled Rellenos are much healthier than the traditional fried ones. This can also be done in an oven. I came up with this recipe after trying so many at restaurants and not being impressed so I decided to make my own. Lay them on a bed of lettuce for a complete meal. Also good served with a side of rice, beans or black bean and corn salad. *This can be made vegetarian by removing chicken and adding black beans or more vegetables.
This recipe came from Epicurious. This is one of my husbands favorite dishes and gets him to cook since it is grilled!
This casserole is a long time family recipe that warms your soul like good comfort food should. The bit of cinnamon in the meat is very interesting and really does make the dish! Enjoy
