This is Giada's recipe that has been modified to lower the calories. Served with mexican pollo asada, pan fried black beans, guac and salsa. The family LOVED it!
This is a tangy, semi-sweet slaw. I served this topped over the turkey meat ball burger with chipotle mayo. HUBBY LOVED!
HUBBY LOVED THIS! I made the meat into 1 inch balls but can easily be made into burger patties.
A casserole with bakes up thin and light, topped with avocado and tomato to balance the sausage and cheese.
The asian style marinade is also the dressing. Used to marinate the tuna steak then also dressed the salad and the salsa before serving. This can be great with salmon or even chicken as well. Hubby loved it!
This is super moist and a real treat. To make it lower in fat, you can substitute the oil for more applesauce and substitute all 0% yogurt for the sour cream.

These taste like cheese blintzes! The pancakes are so fluffy, tasty and are hubby's new favorite! Especially good with jam and/or fresh berries. Could also top with bananas and peanut butter. Healthy and delicious....YUM!
This is a healthy, high protein, low calorie moist muffin. This was adapted from DUCATI77's Protein Whole Wheat Blueberry Muffins. This turned out to be moist but a bit lower in sugar for my taste. Also, hubby thought it needed more banana flavor. Next time, I would up the brown sugar to 1/2 cup packed and add 1 more mashed banana and possibly 1 tbsp olive oil to make more moist. Overall a decent healthy snack or breakfast on the run.
This is not low fat, but it is a bright, happy, chewy lemony cookie that is a real treat. Made for Mother's day!
This is modified from Rachael Ray's recipe. Add water to dilute per taste.
Followed this recipe from Food.com exactly. Did not make any substitutions and it turned out very nice....tender and rich tasting. Good base to tweek to make healthier!
To cut out 44 calories & 4.5g fat per serving, try substituting all the oil for 1 rounded 1/4 cup applesauce plus only 1 tbsp oil. To cut another 35 calories, substitute splenda for the granulated sugar (keep brown sugar).
This would bring the total cal/serving to 202 and fat/serving to 7g.
This is a simple but tasty side dish I made to compliment my Spicy Tandoori Chicken. I think it would go well with any spicy meat or poultry entree.
This is the recipe on the back of the spice box for Tandoori Powder (Sun Brand). It is spicy and super tasty! Serve with some yogurt mint raita and cauliflower side dish (not included in nutrition info)
Healthy and incredibly fresh tasting. Can be used after grilling over sald or as meat for fajitas, etc. Could probably make without the 1 tbsp oil to make completely fat free!
This is a great, low-fat side dish that can go with any meat or poultry main meal. The nutrition values do not include raisins or cinnammon as I made this dish without them, however I think these ingredients should be added to give even more depth and flavor.
