Recipe calls for white flour but I used whole wheat. Came out pretty tasty. Can use orange juice or apple juice instead of milk if you want something different.
If you don't have sweet potato or pumkin, this makes a great substitute. You can also change the spices to make it more savory. Rosemary, thyme and diced onion are excellent.
This was on the side of the cornmeal container. I altered it a bit and used whole wheat instead white flour and 1% milk instead of buttermilk
This is a tweaked version of 100 Calorie Cinnamon Pancakes Submitted by: AMROZ123.. I have not yet made this but i do think that a little more liquid might be needed for the extra oat bran. The added cloves help bring out the cinnamon. Ginger or nutmeg can also be used.

I use regular grits for this, the recipe is on the side of the corn meal container. 4-1 water and corn meal.
I was just piddling around the kitchen and came up with this. Its great on french toast or just straight from the pan.

Can also be done with pears, cherries or whatever floats your boat. If you don't like whole wheat flour, you can substitute for another kind of flour.
I got this from Betty Crocker but 500 calories a serving just didn't sit well with me so i altered it a bit. It is still a little high in calories but it is more manageable and forgivable.

I only recently discovered the turnip and found that they make great potato replacers for a lower calorie meal. Add a glass of milk or juice and its a great breakfast. Can also be done with an alternative of meat(soy sausage) to make it vegetarian.
This is a great salad for those who don't like lettuce. It can be one big salad for a full meal or 4-6 smaller ones for a starter dish.
I have put in parentheses the exact amount in grams that i used and remember...30 grams equals 1 ounce.
Found a recipe for tofu tapioca and decided to make it mine. This recipe can be easily altered to fit a vegan diet. For a little extra punch to it, add some coconut extract.
This makes 4 large servings or 8 small ones. I like the large serving... its less work and I don't have to think about what else I want for breakfast. This is calculated for three.

I got this recipe from Cambell's. I never use canned potatoes because they are always in syrup and i don't want the extra calories. Some of the ingredients are only necessary if using fresh potatoes(which I did) so please read carefully or it will be too sweet.
