This tangy vinaigrette is simple and flavorful. Serve over a bed of fresh greens and chicken.
I created this recipe by using a light pesto sauce recipe from a book called "Secrets to Permanent Weight Loss", adding fat free cream,and pairing it with chicken breast and whole wheat pasta.
This nutrient-packed drink is also a good source of fiber and protein. For 100 calories, you get about 4 servings of veggies.
This was originally a recipe from a Company's Coming cookbook that I altered. I used ww flour instead of white, reduced the oil from 1/3 to 1/4 cup, and ommited the salt. I also omited the sugar and added an apple and banana to help sweeten the muffins. I also added pumpkin and carrot for moisture and texture. So my version is lower in fat and sodium, higher in fiber and sugar free!!
This shake is a high source of both fiber and protein plus 3 servings of fruit. The trick is to blend it well in order to make is nice and smooth.
