Since coconut oil hardens at room temperature, combining it with bittersweet chocolate for a couple seconds in the microwave makes a good magic shell without preservatives, very little sugar, and without any of the other weird chemicals that are added to our food. For those of us who find life healthier with a lower carb count, this is a 6 gram/5.1 net carb option. It's not low calorie, but it is lower carb. Dark chocolate has antioxidants that may be beneficial, and it's *chocolate*.
Benefits of coconut oil are all over the web. Whether or not nuking it in the microwave destroys those benefits, I'm not sure. It tastes good though.
