Recipes I've Shared:
My aunt posted this recipe on our family website last year and I've been making it ever since. So delicious! She says I need to try the kale, but I'm chicken to buy it fresh and I haven't found it in the frozen aisle... yet.
This is a modified Pillsbury recipe I got from a Sunday paper flyer a while back. It suggests using the reduced sugar versions of their cake mix and frosting, but I used reguar cake mix and substituted apple sauce for the crisco. I first made it with the crisco and that was all I could taste so do yourself a favor and skip the shortening in favor of the more healthful apple sauce! These turn out light and cakey for 60 calories a cookie: yum!
Hearty, healthy comfort food loaded with extra veggies. Dish up!
An easy, beautiful, & delcious low calorie trieat! I modified the Suite101.com recipe to include toasted almonds.
Don't be scared off by the calorie count, this is a large portion!
Improvise with what's in your fridge/pantry. Maybe more meat (shrimp or turkey kielbasa?), artichokes, kalamata olives or even capers would've been yummy. But this turned out scrumptious as is. Enjoy!
Mmm... warm comforting chicken & beans with just a bit of zip from the lime juice and tomatillos.
My version of Papa Murphy's vegetarian gourmet is a great treat with considerably less calories than even the thin crust delite version (160 for 1/8th of a 12", vs. 200 for theirs).
So moist and full of chocolatey goodness. You'll be amazed this is loaded with zucchini. It adds moistness that is a wonderful balance to the chocolate punch of the dark cocoa powder and 2 types of chocolate chips.
