I used the leftovers from a chicken that I had roasted. The spice from the chicken did not need anything additional, but I just wanted to jazz it up.
This potato soup has an earthy flavor to it. It could be modified for crockpot, but I have not tried it. I like to cook the onion, garlic, and spices to make this more robust.
