This is the recipe that my family makes every year. It originally came with the lefse griddle. Note: We've tried other brands of potato flakes but the Hungry Jack potatoes taste the most like real potatoes and they turn out the best.
This is my Mom's recipe for Split Pea & Ham Soup. She took parts of 3 different recipes and modified them to create this one.
This is good served over rice. You could cut the fat & calories by using less oil and/or choosing a lean cut of pork loin.
This is my husband's version of his sister's chili recipe. We like it because it's more sweet than spicy. You could easily use 2 lbs of ground beef in place of 1 lb beef, 1 lb venison.
This is a simple and delicious way to curb your between-meal sweet cravings and get some calcium and antioxidants in the process. If you need a little more protein for the day you could add a little protein powder - just be careful not to add too much because most protein powders are high in calories.

This is my Grandma Olive's recipe for lemon bars. It's not the most diet-friendly bar, but I needed a way to figure out the nutritional info, so here it is. You could very easily cut these into smaller bars and would have fewer calories.
I use this as a basic recipe and just substitute whatever vegetables I have on hand. Feel free to modify to suit your family's tastes.
