a yummy way to eat healthy either with a fork (as a salad) or stuffed into a healthy variety of pita bread (as a more filling type of sandwich)
I usually refer to this as a "Fruit Mix" but I don't think that would be "searchable". Anyway, great videos on youtube for how to determine if a pineapple is ripe & how to prepare it. So basically, just cut everything up; add the flavorings & toss together. Best if it can sit for several hours. Sometimes hubby will add whipped cream to his individual serving but that's because he views it more as a dessert dish.
Sometimes we add in black olives, celery, mushrooms, & mild Italian sausage.
Just a basic recipe for Coleslaw; best when it can be made the day before so the flavors have a chance to meld.
an experiment in flavor
This is a very hearty dish well suited for early fall through late spring. Because of the high sodium content in the canned goods, NO salt is added to cooking & generally, most people don't add it at the table either.
A fairly hearty dish, which really does NOT have the amt of sodium listed; I just couldn't find entries for Low sodium products even tho that's what we used. Also, the pork are boneless NOT country style.
This is a tasty dish but would be better prepared with Low Sodium pickles, reduced fat Mayo & swapping the Kirkland canned chicken with an additional 6 -8 ozs of fresh chicken.
This is a real "filler upper" ... only thing needed to round it out is either some cornbread or homemade biscuits.
